If you’re not watching Sirens on Thursday nights at 10pm on USA, then you’re missing out. Not only is it one of the funniest shows out there right now — being that it’s co-created and executive produced by Denis Leary — but it’s also highly inclusive.

It centers on a team of Chicago EMTs, and focuses on the odd partnership of three men, Brian, who is the new guy, Johnny, a guy with a slow developing emotional range, and Hank, an African-American homosexual who defies all stereotypes the rest of popular media inflicts upon gay men. Their team is fleshed out in Cash, Voodoo, and Stats. And last night’s episode showed that Voodoo is asexual.

It took Brian from confusion and denail, to attempts to understand, and eventually wrapped it all around in a bow of acceptance. Brian went from the ideology that asexuals “just haven’t had proper sex,” to wanting to understand what asexual means — and failing — and finally all the way to realizing that sex isn’t what defines relationships, and that just being around Voodoo is enough for him.

Do yourselves a favor, and catch up on the episodes, and start tuning in Thursdays at 10.

this looks promising!!

THERE’S AN ASEXUAL CHARACTER ON A TV SHOW RIGHT NOW SPREAD THIS SHIT LIKE WILDFIRE

Friendly reminder that you don’t always know what’s going on on the other side of the screen…

I really worry sometimes people might be like this when talking to them

please if you’re a friend or anyone really and you’re ever upset like this don’t try and hide it, I’m always willing to be a shoulder to cry on :c

basically.

I’ve done this so many times, it’s depressing.

Please.
If any of you are ever down and ever need anyone to talk to
Tell me
I’m always, -always- open to talk
And even if I’m not, I know people who will be.
Seriously.

I’ll reblog this in the morning, when Australia is actually awake, but…

I collaborated with some fellow political tragics on this info-thing about the Abbott government’s proposed changes to Medicare and the pharmaceutical benefits scheme, based on this study from the University of Sydney (PDF).

There’s also a single-image version, on my website.

Accompanying links:

Please reblog and share however you can! Even if you’re not Australian but you like the cute animals and maybe some of your followers are Australian, for example?

So I was warned not to go to the /b/ section of 4chan, but I did anyway and this is what I find:
People go on about “old /b/” so much. Hur dur summer is here, hur dur habbo raids were GOAT.We have the potential to make this the most memorable raid in 4chan history. If these kids getting panic attacks is real, and not some kind of mob justice mass hysteria, we could legitimately rack up a sizeable body count, disrupt a huge website like tumblr, and potentially even knock it out.I say every month, periodically, say the 4th of every month, we raid a load of popular tags with gore and animal abuse and rape, and try and trigger them. This could be fucking golden, but we need to work together.
Are you fucking kidding me? These people think it’s funny, think it’s okay, to fucking torture and hurt people, put them in fucking situations where they could die?! How the hell is that even remotely humorous?!
I swear, I am considering getting the law involved. Screw wherever the hell you are, this is not okay in any way, shape, or form. If the law was involved, I’m pretty damn sure that the 4chan site will be contacted and told that it needs to monitor the activity better, as well as do a lot of other shit to show these assholes (not all of 4chan, just the psychotic people) that this isn’t funny. That they could be penalized harshly for this shit.
This comment suggests that they might do these raids every 4th of the month. We need to prepare for them! Anyone who is triggered or worried about being triggered or anything like that, I’d say that you should stay off/away from Tumblr for the first week of each month. I’m sorry, it’s just to be cautious in case they decide to do it the first week or earlier.
Please spread the word.
